About
Being raised a military brat, Rick Shouse lived in many states throughout the US. His fathers’ retirement from the Air Force lead him to Wichita Falls, where he graduated from Rider High School. After going to MSU, he then moved to California where he met David Bonadonna and opened the Bonadonna Italian Restaurant, and The Shore House Cafe. Years later, he moved back to Texas and began searching for his next perfect location. Stumbling upon 8542 Seymour Hwy, he then decided this spot was it! Just outside of town, far enough out for a great motorcycle ride, what could be better? At first it was only a weekend thing, but noticing the interest for it during the week, about 6 months later it became a full time Bar and Grill.
Why the name, “BULLY’S“? Many people have their stories of 8542 Seymour Hwy to tell, most ending or starting for that matter with a ‘Bar room’ confrontation or series of ‘bullied’ moments. Thus keeping a historical feature for the address ‘Bully’s’ was chosen for the name. While the name dates back to the old reputation, Rick has done an outstanding job of refacing and cleaning up the present day image. There is a strict ‘No tolerance’ policy for any illegal activity, fighting, or mischief of any kind. Enforcing and having that policy not only ensures the safety of the staff, and property but also the customers and their families.
Taking the art of pizza making he learned in California, Rick specializes in fresh, homemade pizzas that have been labeled “The BEST pizza in town!” Serving burgers, wings and sandwiches as well, the menu has something for everyone. Cold beer, cocktails, and sodas too – its the best casual atmosphere in North Texas.
With indoor seating, a covered patio, and tables in the open air, there is never an excuse of Texas weather to not come out and enjoy the scenery, good tunes, great food and gorgeous staff at Bully’s! Located just outside of town, perfect distance on the bike and the reason for Rick’s slogan “Its all about the ride”
